People implying that daniel tosh would actually rape someone, allow someone to be raped, etc, is ridiculous. Period.

His comedy style just like that of many other dark comics is SATIRE.

It is someone (tosh, jeselnik, many others..) standing up and saying horrible, terrible things that only a HORRIBLE person would say. They take on a CHARACTER and when they are on stage they portray that CHARACTER. They play the part of someone who is basically disturbed and they tell jokes from that persons perspective and its funny BECAUSE they are not a murderer or rapists but they are making jokes from that perspective. When he is off stage not performing do you think he continues to believe everything he says on stage?

Do you think anthony jeselnik has actually murdered people? That he finds suicide itself funny?

NO.

The fact that he is PRETENDING to be is the funny part.

Its not always the joke itself, it the overall character of this horrible person where you are laughing cause someone who isnt crazy is PRETENDING to be crazy.

I’m not looking for a bunch of people to say “blah blah that doesnt excuse it it doesnt matter if its pretend” and if thats what you have to say don’t say anything cause i’ve heard it all.

Just because you don’t understand a certain type of humor that involves taking on the characteristics of a whole other person doesnt mean you need to go apeshit.

I don’t find what he said to be funny. But guess what? I still know that he is playing a part, the part of a disturbed asshole, and he makes millions doing it.
